Every Life Has a
Developmental Story.

Your Early Childhood Shapes Your Entire Life.

Long before we speak...

Long before we walk...

Long before we enter a classroom...

Our journey of development has already begun.

Every movement. Every experience. Every connection.

Every stage becomes part of the remarkable story of who we are.

Every Beginning Matters

Every human life begins with possibility.

From the very beginning, development unfolds with extraordinary wisdom.

Every stage contributes to the foundation of who we become.

Developmental Kinesiology invites us to return to these beginnings — not to change the past, but to deepen our understanding of it.

Because understanding changes the way we see ourselves, and the people around us.

Development is Nature's Wisdom

A seed does not become a tree overnight.

It unfolds naturally. Patiently. One stage supporting another.

Human development follows the same wisdom.

Every experience contributes to lifelong learning, movement, communication and relationships.

Development is not something we leave behind in childhood.

It continues throughout life.

Understanding Changes Everything

When we begin to understand development... we begin to understand children differently. We begin to understand adults differently.

Behaviour becomes communication. Movement becomes expression. Learning becomes a lifelong journey.

Rather than asking, "What is wrong?" — we begin asking, "What is this person's developmental story?"

Sometimes a different question opens an entirely different understanding.

Areas of Exploration

Understanding Human Development

Developmental Kinesiology explores human development through different perspectives. Each topic offers an opportunity to deepen our understanding of ourselves, others and the remarkable process of human development.

Conception
The very first moment of our story
The Seven Senses
How we perceive and experience the world
Pregnancy
Nine months that shape a lifetime
Reflexes
The body's first language of development
Birth
The transition that begins it all
Motor Development
Movement as the foundation of learning
Speech & Hand Development
Expression, language and fine mastery

There is no single starting point. Each perspective enriches the whole.

What is Developmental Kinesiology?

Developmental Kinesiology is an internationally taught educational approach developed by Renate Wennekes.

It explores how our earliest developmental experiences continue to influence learning, movement, communication, relationships and personal development throughout life.

Rather than focusing only on observable outcomes, Developmental Kinesiology encourages us to understand the remarkable developmental story behind every human life.

The Learning Experience

Developmental Kinesiology is not simply learned. It is experienced.

Participants are invited to observe... Reflect... Explore... Discuss... Connect... And discover.

Learning becomes meaningful because it is connected to life itself.

Meet Renate Wennekes

Before she became a teacher, she was a questioner.

Renate Wennekes spent decades asking why — why some children flourish and others struggle, why certain experiences leave lasting imprints, why movement and development are inseparable.

Her answers became Developmental Kinesiology: an educational philosophy that honours the wholeness of every human journey, from conception to lifelong learning.

Her life's work is not a curriculum. It is an invitation to see every life more clearly.

What Families & Practitioners Say

Testimonials from participants of Brigitte Muhr-Berthold's programmes worldwide

Hello Brigitte, Sami's teacher told us he was absolutely amazing today. He was calm throughout circle time and completely focused. Normally, he would be reaching for a book or fidgeting with his fingers, but today was different. She also mentioned that, for the very first time, he finished changing for PE before the alarm went off. It may seem like a small thing to others, but for us it's such a meaningful milestone. You are giving us our son back, and for that we will be forever thankful.

I have attended many kinesiology courses, but I have never experienced one as compassionate and inspiring as yours. Your incredible practical experience added so much depth and value to everything we learned. Thank you once again for the personal time you gave me. Yes, it's the "small steps" that truly make the difference. I'm already looking forward to the next course.

Cairo  ·  DevKi Motorik Workshop, June 2017
This has been an absolutely amazing and truly eye-opening course for both me and my family. I immediately started applying what I had learned to my son's therapy, and within just one week we noticed remarkable changes in relation to his autism. Beyond that, I feel that the greatest transformation has actually been within myself. Thank you for your wisdom, your generosity, and your support.

I would like to personally thank you for offering us here in Hungary the Developmental Kinesiology training. It has been a truly life-changing experience and far exceeded all of my expectations. Today I know who I am. This training has given me a deeper understanding of myself and how this relates to early years experiences. Thank you for your wisdom, your generosity, and your heartfelt guidance.
